How do I upgrade Ricoh sdmmc reader to sdhc?

I've upgraded my Sony Vaio VGN-CCS115J to 64-Bit Windows 7. Would like to upgrade my ricoh sd mmc disk device driver to sdhc, but the only update Sony Vaio gave me was for the SD. I've googled online and found a variety of solutions for VISTA and XP but not for Windows 7. Anyone out there can help? Thank you so much!

Hi candiduke ,Welcome to the forums If the device is over 5years old then I don't think you can upgrade it to HC I may be wrong , Have you tried going to the Ricoh website and searching there ? Downloads | Ricoh Global

hmmm....i went to the site and didn't see anything about the ricoh reader device on my computer. Only about Ricoh camera products not readers. Maybe i'm not looking in the right place? anyway. I don't think my computer is too old I bought it 3 years ago.

If the reader isn't SDHC compatible, there is nothing you can do about it as this is built-in to the hardware of the device. Your best bet is to purchase an external USB reader (some SDHC cards come complete with such a reader).
