No Auto Update is Auto Updating? Screenshot

I'm troubleshooting sound driver issues and have come across something peculiar. I tried shutting off the auto driver update for windows because I do not want the specific drivers that they are going to use. In the screenshot you can see that an installation occurs even with the setting turned off. My question is, are these some default generic type audio drivers such that they will not interfere with the soundcard drivers? Is this some background type driver that will be installed regardless?

You can click on the picture to enlarge it up to enlarge it up to 1680x1050.

    Thanks for help.

    EDIT: Updated with screenshot

That's windows loading the initial driver. You can turn that feature off if you want using gpedit seeing as you have pro. I've lost the link to it though. Sorry. Must go looking.

You can right click on the driver from the device manager & uninstall if you want. If you reboot though it will load again if you have not installed another.

The initial driver will not interfere with the regular soundcard driver?

And thanks for the info, good to know.

You should be able to load the newer driver over the top.
