    HP Can't Detect DVD/CD Buring Drive


    Installed W7. But in Device Manager, it shows 5 drivers that didn't install. There are 4 listed as "Base System Device" and 1 as "Unknown Device". I've installed all the drivers from HP's site, but that didn't help.

    The main issue though is the CD/DVD/Blu-Ray Rom drive doesn't detect in any burning programs. It shows as installed fine, but burning programs can't access it. Any help would be great!

    If build-in system DVD burner work fine you need only install ASPI

    download FrogAspi Frog Aspi - Downloads
    (when you download make sure the module is already renamed to wnaspi32.dll -otherwise you have to rename)

    if you have x64 system place wnaspi32.dll in C:\Windows\SYSWOW64 again uninstall DVD driver + restart

    if you have x32 system place wnaspi32.dll in C:\Windows\System32 again uninstall DVD driver + restart

Hello everyone, I am new to the forum. I am having a problem with burning my movie I made using Windows live movie maker. I was so proud of myself,,made a movie with pictures from my sons variety show at school along with some of the videos I took using my new Sony Bloogie video camera....
Ok this seems kinda weird and just noticed this issue when trying to burn my backups to put bak on my XP machine from my win7 (well external drive but) to lazy to take it off so thought i would just burn them real fast, Anyways.. i burn stuff as a data dvd using Cyberlinks DVD suit and works...

How to tell an solid-state drive drive (SSD) from a hard disk drive? I have a Dell Inspiron 910 Mini notebook, and the drive is SSD, but I did not get info from the OS that mark the drive is SSD. Does anyone know how to detect an SSD drive, and any Windows API can get it? Any suggestion?
