    Scanner problems

Hi, i have just joined your site as i have being trying to help my Father who is on the other end of a computer, he has an Epson DX4800 and has just bought a new Laptop, windows 7 Home premium, 64 Bit.only to find when what he thinks he has done downloading drivers, the scanner wont work, he may have downloaded 32 and 64 Bit Drivers but now cannot find where from. There is a Thread 106675 which we have gone through, where another person has exactly the same problem. My father on his computer and me on mine have scrolled all the way through, firstly you have recommended that to download the epson driver 318339eu, where can i download this driver ???. This i cannot understand, on scrolling down Thread 106675 my father says he cant see at the bottom of the page a DRIVER WIZARD which will do a free scan of all his drivers, ( i can see it on my computer)i am afraid he may be looking at the wrong place, is there somwhere else he can go to get a free scan of his epson printer, he keeps going onto sites but keeps getting people asking for a charge, seemingly he has nearly done a scan and being charged but by what he can see he has 1 driver problem. Thank you for being patient, we are getting back together tommorow evening, so i will check this thread then, in the hope you may be able to point me in the right direction.

    Hi Tony,

Don't follow any of the driver wizard pages - its best to get the Epson driver directly from the manufacturer. Unfortuantely, it appears that the UK site is down, but I'll hunt around and see what I can find.

Can you look in Device Manager and see what the status of the scanner shows?

    Can you try this:

    Hi Tony,

See the link I posted above for a driver. Perhaps you can remote desktop into his computer and have a look at it for him?
