    A new install may require a reboot.

    On the Asus site, make sure you have the latest BIOS - 1304 - as it improves system stability.

    Is BIOS updateing as risky as everyone says it is? and my bios is v 708

    Yes, I would recommend a BIOS update. Download the bios update to a usb drive. With Asus, you should then update from within the bios. And make sure you do not turn off your pc during the update, which is very brief. Let us know how that goes for you.
