    First of all check if your Bluetooth is turned on.If the Bluetooth tray icon has a red mark then click on icon and turn bluetooth adapter on.Can you transfer files to/fro from your laptop to any other Bluetooth device e.g cellphone.
    The most common solution to Bluetooth problems are the re-installation of Bluetooth drivers.
