I've been trying to update my Nvidia driver and so far have had no luck.

I've got two 570's in SLI running great on version 290.53 but all attempts to update my driver to 295.73 end in failure.

I've tried doing a standard install and also doing a custom install with the "Clean Install" box checked on the driver's options screen when starting the install.

I may be missing something, but going through the device manager and uninstalling the driver there first only leads to Windows automatically starting a driver search, preventing me from installing the one I want. Also using the control panel to uninstall them reaches the same point.. windows automatically installing a driver (285 version)

Any ideas, guys?
Specs are listed where they should be below.

Had this happen before , get this file - run - then select Nvidia - select the nvidia files - follow the prompts . restart the computer - when asked if you want to install the video driver / new hardware found / select NO . install the new driver ..

All should be good in Nvidia land ..

I don't know if it worked or not. I ran it, restarted, and then tried to install the driver. Failed again.

But this time I was able to install it through the device manager's update driver option and browsing to the driver I wanted. Before, the manager would come back and tell me that no drivers were found in the folder I selected (C:/nvidia/display drivers/version I wanted) but this time it did and updated.

Regardless if it was what kicked it in or not I appreciate you taking the time to help! Thanks!
