    These were wrote specifically due to a lack of a 64 bit driver at the time, it was a well known problem. Has this been solved?

    As for the driver version itself, I would ignore that, as the version number wasnt generated by Netgear, it was from the original drivers from a different company

    The fact it works on 32 bit was just a bonus for anyone who downloaded it mistakenly.

    eh...

    there was never lack of drivers, considering 2.1 drivers for vista are out for no idea how long, but probably around 3 years, there was problem installing them...

    driver version does indeed matter, company gets drivers from atheros and then they do MINOR changes (changes to inf, rename files etc etc). If you check both .sys files (from netgear and siemens), you will see its actualy driver from atheros also if you open it you will see this:

    and this drivers are existing for like 3 years already, so they did exist back then, however if i rememeber correctly instalation of that vista package is broken on Win7 but if you extract drivers, they work.

    anyway, since i knew they must be even newer drivers, here they are:

    DriverVer = 07/29/2008,2.2.0.27
    atheros_usb__2.2.0.27.zip - Windows Live

    i added netgear deviceid, so they should work with it, even tho they are not original intended for it and no i didnt try them, cba of installing some pointless drivers if im not using wireless stick.

    even more:

    LaptopVideo2Go Forums -> Atheros Chipset

    you can find moded drivers that are even newer, however im not sure if they support 5523, but ye someone try if you want. Fact is, this usb dongle is not _that_ old that new(er) drivers would not exist (then the ones from 2007), people should just take 10min of googleing before they start to complain :)

    it "always" did (since i rememeber at least)... a year ago i was using stick on vista x64 without issues.

    but if i would need to use it today, i would probably use 2.2 drivers i posted up without all that crap software that comes with it... altho i would probably try to make atheors 8.x+ series of drivers work, but thats not for everyone to try :) those 2.2 from 2008 _should_ work without issues, for sure...

    I have installed raf1 driver. But then my WG111T is still not working.
    I want to uninstall it and try another method. Now every time I install the original driver from netgear, I got the aegisI5.exe installed in the netgear folder. Do any one know how can I uninstall the aegisI5.exe and install the original one?

    Hi Guys...

    Sorry to revive this old post, but I was wondering if anybody had an updated or modified driver for this device (WG111T) so it can run full speed (108MBps) in Windows 7?

    The driver above is the same driver that is included in the XP software, but only runs at 54MBps...

    Thanks in advance.
