    SONY HDR-HC7 Problems With W7

I used to capture directly from the camera -a sony hdr hv7- using the firewire cable in HDV mode using Premiere Pro CS3 or Pinnacle Studio 12.
Actually with Windows7 X64 when I connect the cam the cam is regulary recognized by the device manager and regulary installed. I can see it's there.
When I open Premiere or Studio 12 or other programs that recognizes the camera and that allow direct firewire recording I have this problem: the camera is recognized for 4/5 seconds and then all suddenly it goes offline. While it DO REMAIN regualry installed in the device manager...
any suggestion? I tried many different programs to capture. And all of them had teh same identical result.
In vista X64 was working perfectly.
    Thanks!

Check your IEEE 1394 (aka Firewire) ports in Device manager and see if it is set to allow Windows to turn off the device to save power....

    If so, uncheck that.

Hmm the option to turn off the device was already OFF...
It's weird as I can connect correctly my Panasonic HDV cam thru firewire but not my Sony one. That after 4/5 seconds goes offline...
    any other idea?
