Sabrent USB 2.0 TV Tuner correct driver but not accepted by Win7 64bit

I have a Sabrent TV-USB20 and running Windows 7 Ultimate x64bit on my PC
installed the driver for my platform on Sabrent USA
all 3 options, tried one after another, I installed them on my computer, but still after this, the computer does not recognize the device.
I go to install manually through Add Hardware or device manager and Windows says that the driver is not compatible with windows 7 64bit (even when I'm installing driver for Windows 7).
    Any suggestions???

Hi Queen nzinga, Have you tried these drivers ? TV-USB20, Windows Software and Driver Download It may be the drivers are not digitally signed, have a go at installing the Vista drivers Drivers - Install Vista Drivers on Windows 7 :)

Check out the Windows 7 Compatibility Center: Windows 7 Compatibility: Software Programs & Hardware Devices: Find Updates, Drivers, & Downloads

If it confirms your device is not compatible with the 64-bit version of Windows 7, either try installing the driver in compatibility mode for an earlier version of Windows, or as a last resort, consider buying a TV tuner that is compatible with Windows 7.

    Hello Seavixen
    thanks for the reply
the device is a Sabrent TV-USB20 tv tuner
Windows says it's compatible and Sabrent offers the drivers for my platform
however, when I try to install it manually the inf file is not recognized as a x64 bit program, I really don't think it's a problem with the driver since I have downloaded and tested about 10 different drivers from different sources including Sabrent website

I rebooted and pressed F8 to remove the enforcement in case driver was not digitally signed, but tried with all drivers that I have (same driver, different sources), still the same response [The folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x64-based systems.]

Unfortunately, I don't have any other ideas other than contacting Sabrent to see if they can offer any insight to your problem.

Are they 64 bit drivers? There are 32 bit Windows drivers and 64 bit Windows drivers. You can't use 32 bit drivers on Windows 7 64 bit even if they are Windows 7 drivers.

Just so everyone is clear on what I have done, I have
downloaded all x64 drivers for win7 on Sabrent USA / Computer peripherals and accessories / Product support page
tried them individually one at a time
after nothing worked I did a system restore and followed the steps here given
I will try pebbly's suggestion and see what
