    hello dave
the drivers that you need are in your motherboard dvd. or you can download them from intel .
the file name your looking for is (infinst_autol.exe) .

Hi Motherboard drivers disk has vanished.

I downloaded infinst_autol.exe and rebooted afterwards as asked but no difference.

    Hi,
I did run the file and it seemed to install items then asked to do a reboot.
Did this but noticed no difference.
This is what I downloaded and run:
Intel® Chipset Software Installation Utility INF Update Utility - Primarily for Intel® 800 Series Chipsets

and manually told it to find the driver in the unziped directory. The setup program doesnt work.

If you're dual booting you system you could try this method (I had the same SM Bus driver error as you have)

right click on the device in the Device Manager ->update driver->Browse my computer for driver software

Use the Browse button and browse to you Vista windows folder and select the box "include subfolders"

You can update any device using this method, granted you have a updated Vista installation and that it's the same version as windows 7 ( 64 or 32 bit).
