Can't get Epson V600 scanner going...

I am unable to get an Epson Perfection V600 Scanner working. I've tried the latest Epson 32- and 64-bit drivers, VueScan. I'm getting a message from both that the scanner can't be found. I have uninstalled and reinstalled many times.

I'm down to deleting every file mention of epson.

The instructions I'm currently following state:

"Scan registry using the brand name/make of the scanner as key word for
search. (Delete any entries found, but be certain it's a scanner related entry)"

Can someone give me instructions how to do a search from within Regedit?

    Thank you, Paul.

    Hi Paul :)

Dont delete, dont mess with registry, with simple words, dont touch anything in the registry.

    Just uninstall the software\driver.

    You have\use Windows 7 32bit so you need 32bit software\driver.

Download everything from this websites, and the 3 of them.

    http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/s...ows32&x=11&y=9

Connect scanner--pc with usb2 cable in any other pc\usb port (not in the same you used before.). Turn on the scanner, turn on the pc.

Install and the 3 software's to fully benefit your scanner abilities.

Try these and post back with results\news.

Thanks for your good advice, panais. Glad I asked before proceeding! I'll follow your instruction tomorrow when I have more time.
