    .::Windows Automatic Driver Installation::.

    Alright; so I'm trying to install HTC sync drivers, but every time I install them they get overrode by windows preferred choice of drivers which is not compatible for what I'm trying to do. I have a rooted android phone and am trying to specifically use a manual install of HTC drivers, but can't since windows is blocking it out.

    Troubleshooting I've tried:
    -Change device installation settings
    -Uninstall a bunch of USB controller(s) drivers
    -Created an environment variable in advanced system settings, cleared old drivers, and delete infcache.1 in system32 folder

    It seems there is a way to delete the preloaded folder that contains drivers even though the setting has windows update drivers disabled. I'm not sure what task to perform and need your help guys if you can help me. Thanks a lot.

    Nevermind; I turned off the phone, took out the battery, and then booted back up and was able to get back into the hard drive.

    Actually, I have no pinpointed the problem. It was a bad sdcard in the phone - just want to leave this here in case anyone comes across this problem. Thanks.
