    Welcome to Windows Seven Forums.

It really would have been better if you had run the Windows Upgrade Advisor before installing Windows 7.

However, you can still run it to highlight any incompatibility issues.

Download: Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor - Microsoft Download Center - Download Details

As for the video controller driver your best bet is either Intel or the motherboard manufacturer.

As your computer appears to be six years old you may have problems finding the Windows 7 drivers you need.

Well, I certainly wouldn't consider using Starter or Basic, Home Premium is far better.

As for better graphics your best bet is to contact Dell and see what they suggest.

If the current video current controller won't play ball with Windows 7 I doubt there's any way to get it to work with it.
