Realtek audio drivers pretend to install. How to fix?

Hi I've looked around for a fix for my problem, but could not find a solution, so sorry if I'm repeating a question. Okay so just recently upgraded my graphics card from.a gtx 460 to a gtx 560 Fermi, but had to go back to the 460 because my newer one broke a few days after I got it,, so when I put the 460 and put back in everything worked fine except my computer's audio jacks wouldn't work. My moniter's audio works though(nivida driver). So I tried reinstalling the drivers from realtek's site, gigabyte's site(my motherboard), and even cnet's version. All these downloads bring up their install screen and tell.me restart but their are no.changes to where they supposedly were installed , so the drivers weren't installed. Also this may not matter but when they install they extract the files, are these files supposed to go.to my program files? Sorry for the run on sentences.

    Motherboard: gigabyte H67M-D2-B3(1.1)
    CPU: Intel i5 2500
    Graphics: gtx460

Depending on the version of Realtek driver you are installing
The first time you install the driver, it uninstalls the older driver.
Then when you reboot, you must again run the driver install software.

The newer driver from Realtek do this automatically.

So I tried doing that and It says its installing it, but when I check where the files are supposed to be, they are not there.
