    Usb optical mouse not working


    Hi, i bought a mouse (BlueStork Meeepc) about year ago and it worked fine, but today when i tryed to plug it and use it it didnt work ! i went to device manager and i see an error code 43 (Unknown device : Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43))

    does anyone know how to fix this ? :))

    tnx for replying but i cant rename the file i set the premission but it still says that i dont have premission to do that!

    nope nothing helped ! when i plug in my mouse he blinks 4 times and then not working...
    got anything else i can try ? :)

    You please first check if the mouse is working on another computer. If it is then it is in order. If it is not then change it.

    Next please try it with another USB Port if working on another computer. If it works then the mouse is OK and the Port that was in use is Kaput. If it doesn't then go to next.

    Borrow or buy another optical mouse and try it on your machine. If it works then if borrowed buy another optical mouse and use it and discard the one in use. If it doesn't then there is a defect in the computer hardware that needs attention.

    i tyred to use it on my other laptop and it works. i tryed diferent ports but it keeps geting an Unknown device error code 43.. i tryed to use my other mouse and it works but i cant move it.. i can only use left and right click when i try to move it its not working...

    As the mouse seems OK the fault lies elsewhere.

    You don't seem to have tried the procedure suggested by the Forum Moderator in the link provided by SeaVixen. You might like to try that out now.

    is it posible that i have some kind of virus in my mouse or usb port ?

    Unlikely. The mouse is working fine on another computer. A hardware virus is most unlikely.

    Have you got Unlocker (Download Unlocker 1.9.1 Free - Get rid of error message like Error deleting file or folder, cannot delete folder: it's being used by another person or program - Softpedia) installed? It can easily delete or rename files.
