    Hp Laserjet 1022

Hi, I have the above mentioned printer installed on a Windows XP machine and have shared it too.

On my PC that runs Windows 7, 64 Bit OS I need the drivers for this printer but HP has drivers on its web site for only plug and play.

    Any inputs please?

    TIA

Naa this wont help as my printer is 1022 and not 1022n (1022N is a printer attached to a Ethernet cable and therefore has an ip)

The website is quite specific in that the drivers only give basic plug-and-play capability.

It also states they are good for the Laserjet 1022 as well.

What extra functionality is it that you're after? It's quite likely you'll need to buy a printer that is fully-compatible with Windows 7.

The fact that you've used it with Windows XP is no guarantee that it will work properly with Windows 7.

I don't think I have made my problem clear!
    Here it is again.
The printer is connected to a PC running XP and is shared also. I need to 'Add' this printer on another pc that is running windows 7 64 bit OS. The drivers available on the net are just for local plug and play - not general printer drivers.
    Hope this is clear!

In that case you may still need to install the printer drivers to your Windows 7 computer. If so, the problem remains.

Have a look at this tutorial, which explains how to share a printer between Windows XP and Windows 7.
