    What codec you use at Windows 7?


    I need to install codec pack on Windows 7. So what codec pack is better?

    Why do you need to ? what formats dont work? in what player? there are players that can handle almost all formats without added codecs

    Hmm.....i don't know but i asking to sugestion. Does all codecs like Divx, Xvid, MPEG2......work without install?

    In what player? there is a player called VLC that will run any format except mkv without added codecs

    Windows will naturally handle most formats. For some additional formats, I use Shark007.net - Windows 7 Codecs they don't install any players, just the codecs.

    Does K-Litle Codec Pack work on Windows 7??

    Yes, it does.

    Everybody has their favorite codec packs, and after trying out Shark's I moved over from K-Lite. Others like VLC <shrug> Pick the one that looks best to you.
