    Ok. Damn.

Alright. If you have all your music backed up, then lets try this:

Hold down the home button and sleep button until the iPod restarts and shows the Connect screen. Then plug it into your computer.

Just so you know, and I should have mentioned this, it's and iPod Touch. So it works differently than the other iPods.

download and install "mediamonkey" see if it can see your ipod and access your music. I have it working fine with my 120gb classic ipod.

No luck. I KNOW it's Windows or the iPod (though it seems more like Windows). Something strange happened with the driver or something. Because it used to show up as a camera, yes, but I could browse to the used space and see certain files and stuff. It's not iTunes, I know that.

    Ok, lets try this:
Download and install iPhone Browser. (This works with the touch). Connect your iPod, and navigate to user->some thing down to the music folder which will have stuff with numbers and letters and mean nothing except that your music is on there.

It won't recognize it. It just tells me to plug in my iPhone. Which I did, of course. :) No luck.

Ok. Can you try a different cable?

I think this is a problem with the iPod. Do you have another you could try?

I used two cables. And um, if I can find my "broken" one.. yeah. It shows up fine. But that doesn't necessarily mean it's the iPod. I still think it's the driver. Since they would use different drivers. But I don't know.

Ok. Did you try forcing restore mode?
