    I think you said i had the wrong chipset entirely and needed to download the update from the Intel C 200 chipset family.

    You think i should go back to trying v9.4.4.1006 now instead of infinst_autol.exe ?

    If you have followed right my post #259, the attached file is the infinst_autol.exe inside the .zip...

    If you're unsure just delete yours actual and re-download v9.4.4.1006, extract and unblock the file.

    Do the same cd\ command actions and you'll be fine.:)

    You better have those v9.4.4.1006 anyway since your chipset is from the 6 Series. It gonna rewrites files to the proper version.

    This "unblock the file" thing is what i don't know how to do , i have no problem extracting it.

    So your saying i should go with the older version then? Little concerned about not having the right drivers for the chipset which you mentioned a while back.

    I just downloaded v9.4.4.1006 again and decided to read the "read me" thing .

    The "read me" thing says it's for a completely different processor than my machine has . I have an Intel i5 2430 M series processor , this chip is for (see screenshot).

    This is just all mixed up lol.

    I really wish these types of threads could get resolved before just giving up on them , i stop hearing from a helper so i just right it off as a (unresolved ) but then i get a comment from the helper weeks later which i don't understand and ask for clarification and the thread dies again.

    I do try my hardest to follow along and i know helpers can get frustrated but if at all possible can we finish this ?

    The Intel Chipset .INF are only files...no drivers.

    Here, in your case it doesn't matter for the concern in the release note v9.4.4.1006 because we are looking at the .INF files for the Cougar Point platform, which is your Intel 6 series.

    In the v9.4.4.1006 are the latest .INF files you need, no mattter to who which is belonging first.

    I'm quoting again from my post #259 what's inside the v9.4.4.1006:
    ; ********************************************************************************
    ; ********************************************************************************
    ; ** FileName: cougahci.inf **
    ; ** Abstract: Intel(R) 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family **
    ; ** Last Update: July 25, 2013 (Version 9.2.0 Build 1035) **
    ; ********************************************************************************
    ; ********************************************************************************

    [Version]
    Signature="$WINDOWS NT$"
    Class=hdc
    ClassGUID={4D36E96A-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
    Provider=%INTEL%
    CatalogFile=cougahci.cat
    DriverVer=07/25/2013, 9.2.0.1035

    It is better for you downgrading because v10.0.27 are really not for you, nor are for my platform Intel 7 series!:)

    That's right...

    to unblock the file freshly downloaded just right click on it and then properties in bottom list, a window will open and you'll see an unblock tab. Click OK to close and extract the ZIP file.

    Do as you learned above posts with the -overall command..
