    Audio Driver Update

Hi, I am trying to rely on my own efforts to update drivers as this seems to be the recommended way amongst fellow forum members rather than 3rd party software. I have had instances where checking driver updates through Device Manager did not detect that there were in fact driver updates available.

I have the Realtek High Definition Audio on my PC as attached screenshot but I recall on my previous PC that Realtek scanned my PC to advise whether my drivers were current or not and therefore determined the correct ones so that I did not download and install wrong drivers.

    Any comments would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Thanks Danny, I found that before I created a thread but I couldnt see where you can have your PC snanned to determine what drivers I had and whether they needed updating

Just check in device manager to see what version you have and correspond that to the latest release to see if it needs updating. Generally the Realtek drivers are updated every 2 or 3 months. Personally I would stay away from driver scanners as they can point you towards wrong or older drivers anyway. Best bet is to visit the manufactures website and update them manually.
