help drivers out-of-date high "interrupts" cpu (where to find)

hey this computer got slow last year somehow when I made a new computer account then deleted it. I started googling stuff to find out why its slow, and I downloaded "process explorer" and found out that "interrupts hardware interrupts and DPCs" use alot of cpu. So I found out its got to do with driver problems, so I used "driverfinder" and "driverfetch" and it had out-of-date drivers. I tried to google them and download but cant find anything. I downloaded "ATI Radeon HD3200 Graphics", and I went to the "broadcom Netlink (TM) Gigabit Eternet" website an downloaded it but it didnt update it. I went to the driver in driver manager too and tried to update but didnt work. These are drivers I cant find: standad ahci 1.0 serial ata controller, ATI I/O Communications Processor SMBus Controller, and USB Mass storage device.

Looks like your missing the real sata driver and running on windows's own version "standad ahci 1.0 serial ata controller" i had this as late as yesterday, if you have a intel chipset just install their chipset drivers and it should be fixed

The standad ahci 1.0 serial ata controller, ATI I/O Communications Processor SMBus Controller, and USB Mass storage device, should all be covered by the chip-set driver. System specs would help. Have you gone to the manufacturers web site and looked for drivers. If it's a Dell, HP, etc go there, otherwise go to the motherboard manufacturers web site and get what you can. Also be aware that some of those driver look up programs will tell you your drivers are out of date just to try and get you to pony up and buy the program. I'm not saying that's what that program is doing but I'd take what it says with a grain of salt.

thanks, the motherboard manufacturer is Dell inc. and the for the system model it says Inspiron 400 but on the website it said that the system model may not be the motherboard model on Dell computers.

Elvi, wait what is the intel chipset? is it one of those cd's the computer came with that I have to install? (im sorry for being lost...) or where do I get it from?

alphanumeric I dont know what the system specs is. I have tried searching for the drivers in the past, but got too much advertisements and stuff. I will try the manufacturers website.

Im just a little bit familiar with computers ( I had to search up chipset and finding the motherboard...), so im sorry if I sometimes get lost...

Each motherboard has a chip-set that defines its hardware. It's called chip-set because there were usually two chips, a Northbridge and a Southbridge. The chips interface with the hardware on the motherboard and the CPU. The devices you listed above would be devices on the motherboard related to the chip-set. Installing the latest chip-set driver should get them all working. Dell puts a service tag number on their PC's to add in tech support. Inspiron 400 would be the model of PC not the motherboard. There may be several different variations of that model with different motherboards or different versions of the same motherboard. The service tag number when entered on the dell site should tell you exactly what's in your Inspiron 400 and list the correct drivers for your hardware. It's a good place to start. The driver CD's are nice but usually out of date. If you've upgraded the OS they may be totally useless. Two reasons I almost never use them. I download the latest version of the drivers for my PC's and keep them on a USB thumb drive. Installs are nice and fast and if a new driver comes out I don't have to burn a new disk. I just replace the one on my thumb drive. My desktop PC's don't have a dedicated optical drive anyway. I have a USB DVD burner but I find I'm using it less and less these days.

First of all, are you sure that's the correct page for your PC? Does the service tag number match what's on the sticker on your PC? I don't see a chip-set driver any where on that page. If you change the selection from "Filtered driver results for your service tag" to "All related drivers for your product" Chipset will be in the list. I'm not sure which driver if any is the right one though. Without knowing your system specs I'd be just guessing. Once you do find the correct one you just download it and then run it.

There are AMD and RealTek chipset drivers listed for the Zino HD. There are several Zino models so you have to be absolutely sure which one you have.

You may want to post on the Dell Community users forum where there are users that are familiar with Dell products.
