    Device driver software

I have an HP G60 Notebook running Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) operating system. For the past 3 months at start up I get a message saying.....

Device driver software was not successfully installed.
These are the drivers it refers to....
    Intel(R) ICH9 Family USB Universal Host Controller - 2934, 2935, 2936, 2937, 2938
    Intel(R) ICH9 Family USB2 Enhanced Host Controller – 293A, 293C

Can anyone help; I've tried the Intel web site, used Driver Max, and always do my Windows Updates. I have an anti virus program and a spyware program....The computer seems to be running fine despite this message. Why is it doing this, what’s the deal. Please help!!!!!

Don't use driver max, i learned the hard way. Software like that can give incorrect drivers.
Look for something called HP support assistant on your computer. If it is not there download one of these near the bottom(whichever is meant for your computer)
    http://h18021.www1.hp.com/helpandsupport/hp-support-assistant.html
Install then CLICK maintain and then press refresh. Download all of the needed updates. This is how you find the correct drivers, and updates for hp. If your computer is running amd or ati proc or graphics use this
    http://www2.ati.com/drivers/auto/amd...downloader.exe
but only if it has amd or ati proc or cards.
