Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit

Hi Tim, No I haven't installed any codecs yet. It was a fresh Windows 7 64-bit installation. I've downloaded the sound drivers for my Creative X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Fatal1ty Pro and installed correctly, the sound works in other applications. The compatibility mode doesn't work either Could you explain me, how you get your step by step tutorial running on a 64-bit machine? I can't install the 32-bit drivers there (1. Install old PVR (do you mean drivers or program?) with the vista drivers (here I think are only 32-bit available, so how install them?)). I thank you so very much, that you try helping me It's great.

Not a problem at all. Here's what I'll do, i'll uninstall mine and then reinstall it step by step and make a guide for future users. Give me 24 hours or so to test and make sure it's all correct.
The guide will be a 'How to Install the Winfast PVR2000 on Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit'

BTW - To clarify, you need the 64bit drivers that came with XP or Vista (I can't remember OS they were from, but I posted them, earlier) and the latest 32bit PVR2 program. I'll try to find links online and post them up for you.

I'm in the middle of writing the guide and I was able to replicate the low bitrate issue. I guess I'd never run this from inside WMC before.... so fun stuff. MS did offer a solution for this and it worked for my setup.
Download details: Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB981130)

Will get the guide to you soon.

Hi flashkidsf,

Here is the step by step install guide as promised. It's pretty rough, but it should tell you what you need to know. Let me know how you go mate and good luck.

Tim

As long as it's working mate, that's all that matters.

Can you please link me to which drivers you mean? I'll then work out what happened for you?

I have solved that. It was due to a Firefox, because when I used IE it worked. The problem was with your drivers in post Leadtek Winfast PVR2000 rtm driver

Also for people who have problems with sounds in Win7 try this: Go to properties for recording devices and enable CD Audio an then in properties for CD Audio check the option “Listen to this device”. This works assuming that you have connected your PVR card audio out with CD-in on your Motherboard (for onboard sound) or Audio card. Before this I tried with newest drivers (Raltek) but it didn’t work, so I tried this and it works.
