I am able to install Full Solution but scan still does not work. Both HP Scan Utility and Windows Fax and Scan now tell me that there is no paper in ADP. The printer does say that Document Loaded so error is caused by something else. Interesting that when I connect the printer via USB, Windows 7 installs 3055 PCL6 driver and scan works, but via network Windows installs 3055 PCL5 driver and scanner portion of the printer is invisible. Did anybody get this POS to work on the network? Please update. Thanks

Intsall HP3055 in XP Mode and scanner will work

On another forum - saw a quick one liner that said install it in xp mode scanner will work - so...I tried it...and it did...three minutes later I was importing a scan from my HP3055 directly from Adobe.

OK, so I didn't have to install anything... the scanner driver was automatically recognized and installed. When I looked at the driver in Device Manager it says it was released by HP in 2006.

Anyway, the problem I was having was not with the driver, it was with the scanning software. I could not find any HP software on their website. I tried a few third party freeware scanners but all of them hung after half the page and I had to press the cancel button.

Finally I tried iCopy iCopy - Free Photocopier
And it worked. I installed a PDF printer like CutePDF and set it as the default printer for iCopy.
And I was away and scanning to PDF in no time.

Has anyone had any luck with installing the drivers and software for HP's Laserjets 3052/3055 multifunction laser printers? I can print to it OK but no matter which way I try (including using compatibility mode), I can't install the software to scan. HP support seems oblivious to the fact that they're already selling Win 7 upgradeable hardware...
Hi Guys, the answer to your problems is just like many guys here said "No support from hp", there is a easy way how to make it work, get a smart app called VueScan from VueScan 9 Scanning Software for Windows 7, Mac OS X (Snow Leopard) and Linux and it will work.

    Cheers
