Missing Driver, Deskjet 1100c on win 7

    Hi all,

Does anyone know if it's possible to use this printer on win 7? Or maybe drivers from any other printer work on this one? I have this printer, it's still working a3, and I'm puzzled cause on HP site it's no longer supported. Is it so much work for them to make such driver for another system? Strange politics..

Anyway, anyone has a clue how to get it to work on win 7?

    thanks!

Not so strange ... when you consider that this came out in the Windows 95 days.

HP, like other product vendors, does not spend the money to write new drivers for old products. So, if an XP-era printer is still supported in Win7, to them, that is doing us all a favor.

Anyway, anyone has a clue how to get it to work on win 7?
You could try installing the printer in compatibility mode -- but with a driver that old, I would be surprised if it works.

Thanks Mark, but how should I do it? I should install xp drivers and then what?
I read somewhere, but I can't find that page, that I could use hp 1280 drivers, anyone could confirm that?

Actually it's very strange that win7 doesn't support this this printer.
I've just managed to get this printer to work on new Macbook pro, and it works flawless...so it's really strange that Mac with its own arguable politics is able to support it, and win 7 does not.
