Allan9, Welcome to the windows 7 forums.
It looks to me that your motherboard was manufactured by them for another OEM.
I would go to intel and look for a generic ethernet drivers.
I see where people in other forums have had problems getting drivers for the Pegatron motherboard.
Do you have any idea where your father bought the computer? it might help to get back to the manufacturer
and see if there is a disk that came with the computer.
This is a real hard one to diagnose. I bet it is a Intel Ethernet card, Although, windows 7 comes with a lot of built in drivers for Intel ethernet adapters. Give it a shot to uninstall the ethernet port in the devices menu and see if when it reboots, it will find and install a driver. Making sure to not have the box checked to do not try to find driver on next boot.

PS: Sorry that I can't be of more help but your problem is pretty unique. It is one of the faults of buying no-name clone systems without a driver disk.
Follow the screenshot, sorry cause its in spanish but menus and stuff should be exactly at the same locations, so we can see the hardware ID of your network card and lead you to the correct driver.
Whats your computer model and manufacturer? So we can look up the specs of it.
to check do this "performance information and tools" Once open click, "view and print detailed performance and system information.
or right click "computer", "properties" "performance information and tools",and then "view and print detailed information"
should be the 1st two under the category of system.
