You have to delete the file most likely it is named for example oem25.inf. Look in c:\windows\inf and look for the oem file, it is most likely the last one because this is the last driver installed. Open the inf file and see if it is the same one from the bt878 driver you are trying to install. If so, delete that file and the .pnf with the same name.

There is a certificate on the one I linked but I am not sure if it is valid.

I have oem29.inf listed as the last oem file. I delete that one and the pnf file?

Doubleclick on the file and see if it matches the one from the driver package- BT848.inf. It it matches it is safe to delete both files.

Well, I already deleted. I noticed that oem29.inf and pnf are from 3 days ago so I figure that they must have been the right files. I'm going to go ahead and restart so that I can select F8 before windows loads.

I meant to say oem28.inf and pnf are from 3 days ago not oem29.inf and pnf.

No, I have a habit of holding down the shift key when I delete so they are gone.

I went back into the inf folder after rebooting and found that oem28 is also gone now so I don't no.
