Thanks for the reply and information! I clicked on the links and it wants to DL some ad program to my PC so Windows Security stopped it. Do you know if that site has had issues in the past?

    Milardo,

Firstly, thanks for writing the driver for the ATI card.
I was wondering if you can help me.
I bought an ATI TV Wonder Pro PCI for really cheap.
I also bought a HDHomerun ATSC tuner.
I setup MediaPortal and Kodi (aka XBMC) on my home network.
I did this because I want to watch the digital and analog cable channels in my area.
HDHomerun works great. MediaPortal sees the ATI device, but throws up an error when I try to do a channel scan. The MediaPortal forums don't say whether the ATI card is supported or not.
I confirm the card and your driver works when using Windows Media Center, although I haven't figured out why the sound isn't coming out. I assume that is not a driver issue.

Have you ever tried your driver with MediaPortal?
The makers of MediaPortal claim all analog cards that use a "Direct Show compatible WDM driver" will work. Is the driver you made compatible in that way?

Not a big deal if this doesn't work out, I will just have to keep looking for an analog card that works.
    Thanks!

    Hi PFILIPPONE,

Your welcome, but actually i only worked out a custom inf for that driver so it can work with the ati tv wonder pro.

Have you downloaded and installed the latest revision of the driver i posted from the other page? Does you card have which tv tuner, 1238 mk5 or 1236 mk3 or the other one. As of what i know i am unable to get the 1238 mk5 tv tuner working, i tried but i couldn't and i cant work on it any longer as where i live there are no analog channels broadcast i believe, just digital. If it works in wmc, then it might be a compatiblity problem with mediaportal, also i haven't tested it with media portal, but does composite and svideo work? In wmc, can you configure the sound output so it will choose the tv tuner source, not line in? You might have to manually choose the sound input source to match the video input. I believe the driver is directshow compatible wdm driver, but the driver is actually made for a leadtek card, but it seems to work somewhat with other cards like the tv wonder pro. If you have a vcr its possible to hook up you analog source though that and view through composite input of tv wonder pro. Let me know if you need additional help/ have more questions and if you need to please post any screenshots that maybe relevant thanks.

Hi. I apologize for necromancing the thread. But I was wondering if you happened to have an updated link to your Win7 x64 driver package, Milardo. The links I tried from your posts toward the beginning of the thread appear to be dead. Though, that's not particularly surprising, considering the date they were posted.

I've had an ATI Wonder Pro kicking around in my closet for quite some time. A friend of mine has some old tapes he wants to convert to digital. So, I told him he's welcome to the card, if I can get it functioning. So far, this is the most promising lead I've found. If you're able to, I would greatly appreciate the help. Many thanks!

    Hi,

No problem at all. Here is the link to the download for the last version of the win 7 x64 tv wonder pro pci drivers. Just add the mediafire and .com to the space with all those ** things. I dont know why this site blocks mediafire links. Let me know if you need anymore help.
