New hard drive installed - now missing vital drivers  

Hi folks,

As the title says, I have had to put a new hard drive in my partners computer.

Following the installation of Windows 7, via the use of a recovery disc taken from Windows website, I am now missing several drivers.

The system:

Samsung NP RV 720 A02UK
Windows 7 Home 64bit

The missing drivers:

Ethernet controller
PCI Simple Communications Controller
SM Bus Controller

I am missing the Samsung recovery console also.

I have been in contact with Samsung, both verbally and via their site and seem to be getting nowhere, they simply advise downloading the drivers from their site and taking the computer to a Samsung repair centre to have them put the recovery console back on to the computer.

I have no access to the internet with the computer in its current state, the driver downloads are not transferring across, and I live a long way from the repair centre to drop the computer with them.

I am going round in circles and getting nowhere fast, I've done a search of this site to look for the solution but it seems that the solutions are system specific.

Any help most seriously appreciated.

Why not try an ISO downloaded and burned from mydigitallife.info?

I can understand why the Ethernet drive is critical. I'd download it from Samsung via another PC and get it on a CD, DVD, or USB thumb drive so you can then get it on the Samsung.

In my experience, the lack of PCI Simple Communications Controller and SM Bus Controller drivers may not affect functionality. I wouldn't get in a panic over those two items unless the PC didn't perform as expected and you had specific reasons to think those drivers were the problem.

Have you considered and rejected the idea of cloning or imaging the installation on the old hard drive to the new hard drive, rather than a clean install?

I'm not exactly sure tbh - that is a loose translation of my partners description of her attempt to get things working. I believe she has downloaded the OS from Windows in a recovery "mode".

As yet nothing has worked.

I have had to replace a HD which failed, the newly installed HD has this evening had a clean install of Win7 carried out, but the same drivers are missing.

I have attempted to install the appropriate ethernet driver from the Samsung site, but they are not recognised by the computer when I request it update from a driver on the computer.

ignatzatsonic, may it be possible to clone a HD which may have failed as a result of water damage?
I have attempted to install the ISO download from mydigitallife as per your recommendation but the only option I have when installing this is to "burn a disc" and this is only available to drive D, not C as I would expect.

Can anyone recommend any other methods to sort this problem?
