    Device Doctor freeware released

    We just put out a new version of Device Doctor - in case you don't know it's a completely free, no limitations no nagware driver updater. Thanks for the feedback you gave us last month, it helped get us here and we have a few more things planned for the next update!

    Get it from Free Driver Update Software - Device Doctor

    Thank you for sharing your software. I scanned my system and found a monitor driver, updated and it downloaded an empty archive. I tried this 3 times with the same result.

    Firstly, thanks for downloading!! :)

    Can you email me or PM me the URL of the driver that was opened in your browser? My email is my first name (see below) at devicedoctor.com

    On my system, it is not opening a URL. It is opening a file save dialog with your domain name. drivers.devicedoctor.com

    duh. But the packages are not empty.

    Thank you for having a driver for my A4 Tech keyboard.

    Yeah, some browsers won't give you a chance to take a gander at the URL. We're changing this soon so that a proper driver download page is shown instead!

    Just download with no problems. Had the previous verision and it was finding system divers I knew were correct. The new version only found 1 audio driver that I knew was outdated. I'll try on it on some my older flaky systems and let you know but so far it looks good.

    Still having problems. Notice something wrong here,

    Device Doctor freeware released-devdoc.png

    Device Doctor is detect my onboard video that isn't even enabled. Then for fun I downloaded what was offered and the drivers in the "AMD_CHIPSET_V860_Win7.zip" and had a look in the INF's, and they were far older than anything I currently have installed. Looks like the included video driver is the Catalyst 9.2; and the included SB and RAID drivers are even older, the RAID driver is from 2007,

    DriverVer=08/08/2007, 2.500.1540.47

    and the one I have installed is the 3.1.1540.127 dated 3/17/2009. The included SB driver is even older,

    DriverVer=11/02/2006,1.02.0000.1

    while what I have installed is the 1.3.0.49 dated 5/5.2009.

    Looks like there is still some work to be done on getting the latest drivers being offered.
