HP Mini -Clean Install -Ethernet & Network Controller Drivers Missing

I did a windows 7 clean install on my HP Mini 210 4051 nr as part of creating a dual boot with Ubuntu. In Linux the internet works fine, but in Windows 7 it does not. In the device manager I see yellow flags over the ethernet and network controllers. Code 28 (My model does have an ethernet port).

Because the machine cannot connect, I downloaded all the related drivers (everything from the network tab) from the HP website for my model with another computer and then put them all in a folder on the Mini's desktop via USB. When I try to install the drivers through the device manager, and direct it to that folder, it says it finds nothing usable.

    Here are the IDs

    Ethernet Controller
    PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&SUBSYS_338D103C&REV_05

    Network Controller
    PCI\VEN_1814&DEV_5390&SUBSYS_163610C&REV_00

    Any suggestions will be appreciated!

Instead of pointing device manager to those files, have you tried just running the .exe files you downloaded?

That worked for me when I did a clean install on my HP laptop.
