    Control Panel Mouse Applet Problem

    Hi to everyone:

First of all, i want to congratulate every person involved with this forum, its awsome!!

Yesterday i tried to change some cursor options and got this:

    "shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL "C:\WINDOWS\System32\main.cpl," Mouse"

The mouse applet dont work any more, I have an ACER ASPIRE 5536, with no special mouse hardware installed, just the touchpad and a regular optical mouse from logitech.

    Please help..... THANKS in advance.

Open cmd with admin privilege (right click run as admin)

    type:

    sfc /scannow

    hit enter

We are asking Windows to correct the error.

Hi Manimal, sorry to interrupt, I have a the same ACER model like you do, the 5536G

I have opened up a thread for a strange problem I have encountered...have you ever noticed the top right button 'P' used to launch the Launch Manager, does yours light up ? I noticed mine stopped lighting up when I press it. It does work but the LED doesn't light up anymore, I have windows 7 too, but even on Vista it never worked. It only worked when it came out from Acer.

    Do you know anything?
    Sorry again for disturbing.

    Hey Drowsy..

    No interruption at all..

In my computer the launch manager key is a normal key with no light, it have the solid blue borders and thats it. Maybe thats the way it is and never light up, you should check it
