Wireless Not Working - atheros ar5b97 code 52

Ok, guys I need some help. My laptop is an Acer Aspire 1830T the other day I installed some Windows 7 updates and when my computer restarted I didn't have Wifi, and an Ethernet connection was not even working. So I went through a bunch of things:

I started by uninstalling the Windows updates that installed, trying to re-install drivers. The Ethernet started working right away when I installed the corresponding driver, however I could never get the WiFi working after trying multiple drivers from the system disk which had Wifi in the title. I then went ahead an uninstalled everything installed that day to start fresh in case there were conflicts and had the computer search the disk for the driver. I now get the following error message and have no idea what do to from here. (Note the computer had me send some error message to MS which it said it doesn't have an answer for, but there might be one in the future.... and I went ahead and installed the latest updates, since it seems maybe that wasn't the problem afterall since uninstalling didn't fix the problem?) I considerate myself computer friendly but no expert, please advise. Thanks

It doesn't look like there is what is a clear installation or setup file in there so I am not sure what to do from here

Hi mgftp, in device manager right click on the device with the yellow triangle select update driver and point to where you extracted the files :)

Thanks, when I try to do that though it's saying the driver is already up to date and the best driver is already installed.

I downloaded both in my downloads folder, went to update driver and told it to look in that folder and I get that message, it looks like this:

Hi mgftp, Run the .exe file from where you downloaded the file from the Acer website, see if you get the same result , Are you running the file as administrator ? :)
