    Yes it did the configuring and it still shows windows is shutting down

    Hope it is just a coincidence. It is in a loop or so. Only thing you can do is power it off. Boot normally and tell me what's happening. Then in elevated command prompt:

    Code:
    chkdsk/f  c:
    sfc/scannow
    Are the 54 updates installed? If not install them again, but now in batches of 5 at a time to test.

    Ok so I shut it down, sometimes randomly when I start it up, the task bar doesn't fully load and I am left with the moving circle as the cursor. Then I have to click the button to power it off, then the next start up it normal......why is this.

    I did sfc and it came up with nothing, I didn't do disk check yet.

    Try a sytem restore to the time before the 54 updates were installed and then follow the advice to install 5 at a time.
