    i have got an old laptop from my aunt
    Its compaq presario v2000 cto
    Config- intel celerom m 1.40ghz
    Ram-1gb hdd-40gb intel 915gml graphics. I will use it as my mobile computer . Shall i use windows 7 or 8 . And which edition should i install

    Hi Debajyoti, You will be able to run win7 on that laptop ,It will not be very smooth have you thought about using Vista on it If you do go the win7 route use the basic version :)

    no never installed windows vista when i received the computer it was running windows 95 . Can you please tell me prices of some the 2.5 inch hdd in india . Shall i install win xp

    Hi Debajyoti, Have a look here for hard drives Hard Disk Price in India: Buy External Hard Disk Drives & HDD Online - Infibeam.com Install what you feel is best for you to use as an operating system But remember Microsoft will shortly cease support for Win XP so the will be no updates available
