    driver problem with win 7


    Bonjour
    I plan to update this month my Vista 64 bits os to Win 7 os 64 bits (Home premium)
    My Pc system is one year old and havee Asus motherboard P5K-E wifi -Ap edition
    I have run windows 7 advisor from Microsoft and only one driver is listed to be update :Realtek RTL8187 Wireless 802.11b/g 54Mbps USB 2.0 Network Adapter
    The problm is i don't find this drver nowhere at Raltek site or in searching in google
    Someone in this forum seems to have found it but th link where he put it is brooken
    Some suggestion?

    That's because you are searching on a wrong place. You have to look for these drivers on Asus site. When you got there, search for your motherboard and driver download.

    Beside, if you have no idea how will this works, I suggest that you do dual boot. When drivers filled up in a W7 for your MB and devices, you'll decide for future action

    the link is usefull for me
    But i disn't find there the driver i am searching (on Faq on Forum on support download)
    I noticed that majority of other driver for this board Asus P5k-E wifi-ap
    are dated of 2007
    i don't know exactly what for is
    Realtek RTL8187 Wireless 802.11b/g 54Mbps USB 2.0 Network Adapter
    but i think is not critical for upgrading to win 7 since i don't use wifi on my system
    i use a wired router for a network with only one computer (i use it as material firewall)

    I finally find an update to the driver at ZDnet dated os 2008-07 but windows 7 advisor noted also i must update this driver for Win7
    some one can say what for is this USB adapter?
