    help with unknown driver


    hi so if i go into device manager and under other devices, theres a driver there that says unknown device. how do i fix this? it wont let me update, and when i uninstall it, it shows back up after reboot. btw this is a fresh install of 7

    What comes to my mind is you at one time had something else plugged into the computer at one time. Like a phone, card reader ect. and that is what Windows is seeing.
    Reboot your computer and see if it goes away.
    You don't need to bumb unless it's been a long time.

    the last i rember is an xbox 360 controller. but i successfully installed that.

    The utility that indianacarnie linked to will help you ID it and then you can search for a driver. If this is a new install it is likely a motherboard device of some kind.

    if i hit properties, it says pci bus error code 28
