It might help if you download and install the latest chipset driver\inf utility, there may be a problem with it.

Yes, had already done all of this (several times). Answer to your first question: Received (another) error popup from the Dell site when I tried to download first unknown device - posted to you previously.

Your second recommendation also failed (several times) right from the Dell site again - the page showing the Dell Optiplex 760 as my tower. So, both suggestions here . . . history (but futile).

I DID do the update on the BIOS, and my system just rebooted. Perhaps that might help in doing further download attempts.

Heres the site for the bios alluded to by VistaKing :Welcome: Dell M1330 Latest Bios Update - A015
The BIOS download I gave him goes with the OPTIPLEX 760 which is the model he has . . The BIOS link you gave him goes for a Dell XPS M1330.

So sorry for the wrong site. I did go back to see whether I did the same error for this PC; so I took the liberty of downloading the Optiplex 760 BIOS and the CHIPSET anew (for Windows 7, 64-bit from the Dell site). However, even after all these measures, I still receive an error popup, not allowing me to download the graphics driver (from the Dell site nor from the nvidia.com site). SOMETHING is preventing this download from happening, and it escapes me as to what it could be.

Attached are twp screenshots from my most recent attempt at this graphic download from the Dell site, as well as the log file from the attempt.

    Download

Create a folder and extract the files to the created folder . Right click on the PCWIZARD icon and chose Run as administrator and upload an image of the Hardware listed .

The log didn't help much . On your OPTIPLEX does it have a sticker on the front below or above the Windows sticker ?
