Anyone know of a decent bios emulator...?

I am trying to assisit a relative across the miles upgrade here computer. In the course, it has become necessary to guide her through here bios, and attempts to do this thus far have been fruitless. Mobo is a MSI K9VGM-V amd mobo, and although I have downloaded the manual, it pathetically only shows the initial splash screen inside.. I have been looking for a site on the web that can emulate the bios so I can guide her better, but have yet to strike gold.. Any suggestions..?

Search google images with "bios" and "K9VGM-V" keywords? It managed to return at least 3 more screenshots: link

It's not a big deal, really. You know what motherboard, then you can find out what bios it's using - Award. Then search for bios modding tool for Award that features setup screens - Modbin version 2.04.01 works under Windows 7 32bit, no need to boot to dos/virtual pc.

    * Put Modbin6 and the bios file with it's extension renamed to *.bin in the same folder. Launch Modbin6. It should detect the bios. Press enter.
    * If the bios is compatible it should show a menu in a few moments.
    * Choose Edit Setup Screen using the arrow keys. You'll get a tree structure of the bios screens.
    * Names may be truncated, to get the full description select it and press enter. Esc will get you back to the tree.

I would agree and like to point out that there is nothing available as a BIOS emulator. There is software out there that can emulate a bios, but its for the purpose of cracking software like Win7. It doesn't give you the ability to actually run the BIOS as if you were sitting in front of the machine.

Actually, you're wrong. There is at least one utility named biosview for award bios, but it's dos only and would not work on newer bioses. I guess a new updated tool would be useful - noted as a future project
