    IDT Dell Inspiron 1440 audio driver error code 10


    i had a dell inspiron 1440.. I tried to install windows 7 ultimate x86, when its done, all of the driver working except 1, the audio driver.. in the device manager, the HD audio driver(IDT 92HD81) says error code 10, when I try to install the driver, it wasn't work at all, it say's the driver doesn't match with the hardware, in fact it was from the dell's audio driver from the dell's services & support!!!..
    i've try all the dell's forum sugestion but none of it works..
    this is the driver's patch name PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_293E&SUBSYS_02CF1028&REV_03\3&18D45AA6&0&D8
    I couldn't think anymore,.. my brother sayz, just sell it & buy new one, I guess it's the best choice,.. but can this problem fix for anyone???

    Did you install the Dell motherboard chipset drivers? They need to be installed BEFORE installing the Dell sound driver or it can give you an error notice that it can't find the sound hardware.

    There are three chipset drivers listed on the Dell downloads. Install all three then try the IDT sound driver again.
