windows stuck after installing Intel HD graphics 2000 driver

    hi.
can someone help me. I'm a first-time forum user.

My problem is when i install Intel Graphics HD 2000 driver 32bit and restart the system would pass the starting windows screen and then monitor goes black despite monitor being powered on. i have installed the drivers that came with the motherboard and later also have installed the latest drivers too after uninstalling old driver but still the same. if i roll back the display adapter driver version to standard VGA graphics adapter system boots up fine. when i install the Graphics driver it happens again. event view shows no blue screen errors. please help me.

it seems no one is answering my question. someone please answer my question? i wish i could provide more information about the problem but i have only these information.

We may be able to help but more information is needed such as your computer specifiactions which can be obtained from the computer manufacturer's website:

    Information such as:

    CPU
    Motherboard
Make and model of RAM(memory) and type and amount installed
Grpahics card installed(IGP built in graphics card or and add-in card)
    Hard drive
    PSU(Power supply)
    CD/DVD drive
Opreating system(windows, mac osx or linux used) and version installed
Use belarc advisor below if unable to give us some specs:
Belarc Advisor - Free Personal PC Audit, for software, hardware and security configuration information on your computer. Software license management, IT asset management, cyber security audits, and more.

You have found the root of the problem but now the countermeasure is needed for the driver.

For future reference give time for people to answer and please remember we are all volunteers.

Is there no fix for this? I am having the same issue. Replies are much appreciated. I don't know if Intel HD 2000 Should be automatically detected but it isn't showing in device manager. From what I know it is integrated in the motherboard/cpu?

Thanks I'll try it. But what will I do If the same thing happens. Starting Windows > No Signal > Reboot and it's a loop.

Since this is a new install, you are going to want the chipset first,

These should be what you need, they don't list Starter as an OS option, but it is covered in the release notes,

Drivers & Software - HP Support Center.

    Then try the graphics driver,

Drivers & Software - HP Support Center.

You may end up needing other drivers too,

Thanks for the reply. I followed you suggestions but what happens now is this:

Starting Windows Screen > (It doesn't reboot immediately) > It does go to a screen filled with horizontal lines > Then it reboots.

Do you think it's a broken igpu?

It's a possibility, are you able to do anything on the computer?

I was wondering if you could do this,

System Information File - Create in Windows

Then post the file it creates.

Did your computer originally come with Windows 7 Starter?
