    Jawbone Bluetooth Headset.

Seems like I'm having similar issues to others here after a quick search. The one page I've found that said it had answers has a link that comes back saying I cannot access it.

I have a Jawbone Prime that I wish to use with vent and skype but cannot get the bluetooth device peripheral driver to install. I have attempted using the Broadcom software linked in most posts but it does not do anything but remain on the searching for devices page. I've also attempted to use the Asus software that is recommended in some posts but although it installs only provides me with a small window saying there is no bluetooth device present.

The computer finds the headset, but I cannot get it working. Can someone help me?

What bluetooth receiver do you have on your computer?

It is a generic receiver that I believe supports almost if not all current protocols. Microsoft installed it instantly. The errors did not start until I attempted pairing the headset.

I found a thread about Windows 7 and the Jawbone Prime. Have you read it?

I have seen that thread. That is the same software I am attempting to use and its does the exact same thing another post shows where it sits on step one not finding whatever its looking for.

I've read several other threads about that Jawbone, and people haven't had any luck connecting to Windows 7 or OSX. I know that the new software works, because I tried pairing my original Jawbone to Windows 7 and it didn't work, but I was automatically alerted that new Broadcom software was available. I downloaded it, the application found my hp bluetooth adpater and installed the updated drivers and software, and then I could find, pair, and use my original Jawbone as a headset. In fact, I'm listening to iTunes over my Jawbone right now!

Based on the Broadcom application, and the picture referenced in the link I posted, I think the Broadcom software can't find your adapter. Was it plugged into your computer before you ran the update application? Can you borrow a friend's bluetooth adapter and try using that one?

So after reading your last post I ordered a new adapter. Everything installed perfectly but the prime still wouldn't connect. I was however able to snag a friends jawbone 2 and it is working perfectly. I really appreciate your help. :)

Im really disappointed that the other one isn't working since its much much louder but hopefully I can get it to work sometime. Thanks again.

I read another thread somewhere (I think on a Jawbone forum) that the Prime wasn't designed to connect to anything other than a mobile device. The Jawbone people said they'd look into it, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Yeah, its really disappointing that a company that makes a sort of premium product doesnt support these things. I dont believe any of their headsets are meant to work on the computer so I'll hold out up thatin a few weeks I can get it going :P
