I been using these controllers for over 10 years. On XP you really needed the Logitech software but on 7 its not really required. I use a program called Xpadder, v5.7 I used the controller last nite then this morning it was dead. I hooked it up to a different pc to verify that it was working and it was. So after staring at my pc for an hour i got the idea to download the Logitech software and voila, working.
Rebooting did not resolve my issue.

    Hope this helps.

Failed again. Remove Logitech software, the trick seems to be plugging it into another pc. My motherboard has some RAM issues so Idn if this is a contributing factor.

    Working...

USB and RAM issues? I would suspect your CPU is failing, ya might want to test that.

TRY see this!, go to CONTROL PANEL and check IF any abnormality.. IF YES, settle its problems first. u may need to use RESOURCE CD - MOTHERBOARD,......IF NOT, perform SFC /scannow or UNINSTALL AND RE-INSTALL back ur current drivers at control panel

    OR

GO TO website.. download TWEAKING.COM WINDOWS REPAIR. ticked it ALL (repair options).. that should solve ur problem.
