    Bluetooth on Win7

I know there are numerous threads on this subject so I started a new one rather than hijack someone elses.
As I have a couple of Bluetooth USB dongles and one or two phones with Bluetooth it's always been pretty smooth with XP but not W7.
Also having had an iPhone 3g for a couple of years which only seems to connect via BT with other Apple devices, I haven't been using that manner of transfer at all, but now it's sold and I'm getting a Samsung.
One dongle is a Widcomm/Broadcom on a National Semiconductor board and the other a CSR Realtek tiny dongle.
Both functioned perfectly on XP and the driver CD's (x32) naturally helped matters. But now that I'm using Win7 x64/32 on various machines, it's not so easy.
I have managed to get both working intermittently on Win7 x64 ie transferring the odd photo to a mobile, but this never lasts long.
So over the next few days I'll start the process again with each of them and post back if it helps anyone.
I did find Bluetooth Driver Installer but it didn't help unfortunately.

if you want to look for better drivers, you should dig up their hardware IDs.

This explains how to do it. Follow the procedures for Windows Vista (or write "device manager" in the Start Searchbox).

Hi there ...... As your Devices look rather old ..... Getting them to work on Windows 7 might prove to be a real chore ... If you still have the xp Disc and key .... You might consider a Duel Boot .... How ever that seems a bit extreme to me .... Just to get a Dongle to work
