Solved Dell Optiplex GX270 Windows 7 Graphics Driver

Hi,
I own a Dell Optiplex GX270 and I recently upgraded it from Windows XP to Windows 7 Ultimate. The problem is, everything on the screen is way too big, and I am not able to change the screen resolution. I am currently looking for a driver that I am able to use with this computer. I have tried going into BIOS setup and changed Integrated Devices (LegacySelect Options) and changed the Onboard Video Buffer from 1mb to 8mb, but that didn't work either.
System Specs:
3.0GHz
2GB Ram
40GB Hard Drive

P.S I know on my profile it says I have an acer and that my computer is a laptop but this GX270 is a computer that I am selling.

Sounds like there is no graphics driver loaded. Is there a graphics driver in Windows Update?

Well I checked in the properties for the driver. There is one installed. No there is not an update in Windows update. I have tried installing one, but whenever I uninstall the old driver I have to restart my computer. After the restart the second I login it says its reinstalled it but I dont want it to reinstall.

There should be. I installed one once that worked. But the download was removed and I lost it because I had to format the drive.

Absolutely change the video memory in BIOS from 1MB to 8MB. That will allow for higher resolutions.

The driver that worked for me was on the page for the Dell Dimension 1100, whereas the download for the one on the Optiplex GX270 would claim to install, then revert to the Standard VGA Adapter upon reboot.

I downloaded R104515.EXE (Intel Springdale G Integrated Video, v.6.14.10.4299, A07) from Dell's website, ran the self-extractor, then setup.exe in Windows XP (Service Pack 3) compatibility mode.

After a reboot, the device manager listed it as the correct Intel 82865G Graphics Controller and detected all the valid resolutions for my widescreen monitor.

Don't expect it to run any fullscreen video or graphics acceleration in Windows 7, as it is an outdated card.
