    IPSec driver failed to start

Have a Windows 7 Pro box.
Get the following Admin Events Error message with an Event ID of 7000
Looking at the Admin Events after bootup get the following message:

The Cisco Systems Inc. IPSec Driver service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.

How to I fix/get rid of this event?

    Thanks - Tom

Uninstall Kaspersky (just as a test).
    Install MSE
(Download Microsoft Security Essentials Prerelease from Official Microsoft Download Center)
Re-install the Cisco app. and see if the error goes away.

    Hi,

Hardware devices need drivers. IPSec is a protocol.

The Cisco software creates a virtual network adapter. That virtual network adapter need some real drivers. One of those drivers runs as a service and encrypts/decrypts the data flowing thru the virtual network adapter. Microsoft calls this particular type of driver an IPSec Driver:
