Hi Jimbo,

I'm trying to follow your advice: "install the printer on the vm and then share it. On the Windows 7 machine -- as you don't have a driver for it you''ll have to define the printer as a NETWORK printer...Then define this as your default printer."

I've created my XP VM, but I'm having trouble telling Windows 7 to add it as a shared printer.

How do I tell Win7 to use a VM as a network printer sharer? From "Add a Printer" ... what steps do I take from there? Do I have to do anything special to the printer in the guest (XP) OS, apart from making it "shared"?

Using VMware Player 3, should I use bridged, NAT, host-only? Should I be investigating the Unity feature?

    Thanks exceedingly much,
    Will

64 bit Driver for Canon LBP5100

    Thanks Romans,

I've just advertised the printer for sale which I'll now need to cancel

Have you installed the driver? It will be next week before I get the chance to install the printer on Windows 7 64-bit, hope things go well.

Again, many thanks for the information.
