Hi there ... Well it could be as your Laptop came with Windows 7 .. The thing is this is there any way to change the Flash Card settings it seems to all hinge on that .. This is a new thing for me i have seen many Toshiba Laptops with function key problems but none of them had Flash Card settings ... Have read lots about it still not clear on it though

I went to the Toshiba forums and asked some experts , here is the reply

Did you follow all the instructions carefully?
Instructions for Clean Install of Windows 8

Update Your Drivers for Windows 8

So far as I know, the flash cards work when upgraded properly. Some things may not.

Items that may result in a loss/limitation of features/functionality after upgrading to Windows 8.

Window 8 machines do not use the TVAP. I believe the System Driver handles its functions

I honestly got lost from there. Does that mean I need to re-install Windows 8 Again?

I don't think it's worth it to be honest with you . Just for the menu bar to work it's not worth it. Anyways thanks for all your support and help. I appreciate it that you didn't give up. Once again Thanks.
