    Bluetooth Driver

    Hello,

I am new to the forum, hoping I can get some help with this issue...
I have a Dell Laptop, Inspiorn n5010 that is not Bluetooth ready, so I added a USB dongle to make it
bluetooth capable. I have a bluetooth headset, and when I connect everything, the laptop sees
the headset, but says it needs the driver installed. The headset did not come with driver software.
I have looked on the internet for the driver with no luck.
The headset is an Evere T909S

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi tsp2224,

    Welcome to Seven forums.

Most of the headsets doesn't require drivers to be installed. However, your bluetooth dongle would need to be installed with compatible driver and software.

Please let us know which USB dongle is it and have you installed the drivers provided along with it. Also, post a screenshot of the device manager so we can check if the drivers were installed properly:

If drivers are not installed properly then let me know the hardware id:

    Hardware Identification

Kindly update your system specs here by following this.

Keep us posted with the results so we can advise you further.

I got this dongle off Ebay....they told me no driver or software needed. (plug & play)
    I updated my system specs.

Attached is a screenshot of my Device Manager & also the error that the device is showing
    asking for a driver:

When you pair the headset to the Bluetooth dongle, is the laptop connected to the internet?

I've used quite a few of those inexpensive Bluetooth dongles with all kinds of Bluetooth peripherals and none of them (dongles or peripherals) have ever come with drivers that I needed to install, they all seem to be plug and play.

Yes, I plug the dongle in, and it shows up in devices as ready to use....but when I turn on the headset
to try to connect or pair, it never finds the headset and I get an error message that says the headset is missing the driver. And yes, the laptop is connected to the internet as well. Other bluetooth equipment pairs without a problem...ie: my smart phone. So i don't think it's the dongle.

    Hi tsp2224,

Thanks for providing us this information. Check this driver which might work for you:

    http://www.komeil.com/download/2961

Also, I have used this software for many different bluetooth devices and they had all the correct drivers and software to use. It is a premium software but you can do a trial to confirm the functionality:

    BlueSoleil - Bluetooth Software,Bluetooth Driver,Bluetooth Dongle

Once you have the correct drivers and softwares installed you should be able to connect your bluetooth headphones.

    Hi strollin,

Seems like I was the lucky one as I have ordered like 5-6 different bluetooth dongles prices as low as $1 and almost all of them came with a disk or built in drivers.

However, Bluesoleil have always done the trick for me and it gives almost all functions that you would require for bluetooth.

    Hi tsp2224,

You should try updating the drivers manually by giving the location path. Please check this tutorial which should help:

    Driver Install - Device Manager

Also, did you manage to check the Bluesoleil software for installing the software driver for the bluetooth device.

Keep us posted with the results so we can advise you further.

    Hi Sandeep,

I know how to manually load a driver, but the link I clicked on gave me a file download I have never seen.
csr-bthfilt-1.0.0.370-x64.7z - This is the file, i downloaded it, then used Winzip to unzip it, but I don't see
anything that looks or is identified as a driver. So when I try to manually load the driver, the browser just points to
that folder which has a "security catalog". no drivers. Kinda confusing. I was trying this driver link first, as the Bluesoleil software costs.
